JUNE 2006 TO JUNE 2009
1. PREAMBLE TO THE STRATEGIC PLAN
The Northwest Board of Education has established this three year strategic plan as a major component of its leadership vision. It is intended that this plan will provide a flexible blueprint to direct the activities of the board in its initial three years as a newly amalgamated board of education.

Success in Northwest School Division is achieved through shared values.

To develop and define measures of accountability.
B. GOVERNANCE
To govern through strategic Board governance aligned to meet our needs.
C. CAPACITY BUILDING
To develop strategies for Board development and learning.
D. COMMUNICATION
To develop an effective communication strategy with all stakeholders.
E. SCHOOL COMMUNITY COUNCILS
To establish working relationships with local school communities through the development of School Community Councils.
