Principal's Message

Welcome! Tansi!

Firstly, I would like to extend a warm welcome from the Dorintosh Central School staff. We are very excited that another school year is upon us.

Furthermore, I would also like to acknowledge that we are on the traditional lands, referred to as Treaty 6 Territory and that the Village of Dorintosh and all the people here are beneficiaries of this peace and friendship treaty.

Treaty 6 encompasses the traditional territories of numerous First Nations, including Cree, Dene, Nakota, Saulteaux, and Ojibwe and the homeland of the Metis Nation. We are dedicated to ensuring that the spirit of Reconciliation and Treaty 6 is honoured and respected. This acknowledgement also reaffirms our relationship with one another.

Additionally, I want you to invite you and your family to get involved with our diverse programming at our school. As a school and community we want to foster a sense of belonging for all of our parents, students, staff, and community members. This will help to develop a strong family connection with our school and the community of Dorintosh.

Please feel free to stay up to date with school events by using our school website and school Facebook page. These are great ways to stay connected and develop a sense of belonging with our school.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact the school.
