TABLE MOUNTAIN SKI TRIP
On Friday, February 2nd, seventy five NCS students from grades 4-12 travelled to Table Mountain to experience alpine skiing Saskatchewan Style. Two buses departed at 7:30 am and returned around 4:00 pm. Students had an excellent day skiing, snowboarding and tubing. Table Mountain has great staff and are always well prepared and accommodating. Thank you to our bus drivers, parent chaperones and to our school staff for organizing this excursion. We look forward to next years' trip.
Junior Boy's Basketball - Ms. Chammartin
The Junior Boy's basketball season has come to an end. The team made it to the finals in the Battle River play-offs before being defeated by Maidstone. We had a very successful year and Ms. Chammartin saw some great growth in basketball skills and game play.
The team was comprised of: Henry, Isiah, Shay, Jared, Keelan, Vincent, Francie, Landon, and Eduard. Great job you guys!
MILK DAYS!
Feb. 12-13 we will be having many draws for some great milk prizes! We have white or chocolate milk at the booth for $1.25 each or you can purchase a milk card for $10 that has 8 mlik on it. Go to SchoolCash online to purchase a milk card or you can buy them at the school office.
GRAD FRUIT SALES
The grade 12 student will once again be doing their fruit and cookie dough fundraiser. In addition to the variety of juices and the apple chips, they now have olive oil and balsamic vinegars as well. Watch your mailbox next week for a flyer with info. and prices. A grade 12 student should be phoning you sometime between Feb. 1 and 26 to see if you would like to place an order. You can also call the school at 306-823-4313 to place an order or drop your order off at the school office. We expect delivery to be around mid to late March. Thank you for your support!

Due to severe allergies among the students at NCS, the school requires that everyone avoid bringing any items with nut products, eggs that are not baked into an item or animals to the school. Our students' health depends on your cooperation. Thank you.
New Phone System
We have a new phone system, with some awesome features. However, we are still learning the system and, as some of you may have already experienced, part of learning is making mistakes. If we cut you off accidentally, please accept our apologies in advance. Also, as part of this upgrade, we no longer have a fax machine, so please scan your items and email them to us instead.
Thank you for your patience as we go through this change.

If you need to complete your collection with previous years, 2015-16 yearbooks are on sale for $20.00, 2014-15 for $15.00 and older ones are a steal of a deal at $5.00 each.

STUDENT ABSENCES Parents please notify the school if your child is going to be absent. Parents will receive an automated phone call for any unexcused absences.
STUDENT FEES
Notices for any student fees still owing were sent out with report cards. Please send payment for any outstanding fees as soon as possible or pay online with SchoolCash.
COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS
VALENTINE'S DAY SUPPER AND ENTERTAINMENT
"Celebrate Valentine's with Will Ballantyne and His Band" on Saturday, Feb. 10 in the Neilburg Community Hall. Will plays country, bluegrass, and gospel. Come out and enjoy appetizers, a roast pork supper with all the trimmings, beautiful Valentine decor, and a cash bar. There's a door prize, draw items, and give aways. Doors open at 5:00 and supper at 6:30. The evening will conclude about 10:00. Tickets, $45 each, are available from any member of Manitou Pioneers Museum or at Synergy Credit Union in Neilburg or Marsden.
Friday Night Youth - Feb 9 - 7pm-10pm
Skating at the Marsden mini rink, then snacks and devo at the Briggs'! Rides from the church at 6:45. (No youth Feb 16)
BUSINESS ADVERTISEMENTS – PAID ADVERTISEMENTS If your business would be interested in putting a paid advertisement in the school newsletter, please contact Cathy at the school (306-823-4313). The newsletters go out weekly (usually Wednesday). Any ads would have to be into the school by 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
