LOCAL TRACK MEET – May 24th

Our local track and field day (Thursday, May 24th) is fast approaching and in order to make this day a success we need at least 1 volunteer for each class. Grade 7-12 will run their events in the morning and Elementary will go in the afternoon   K-6 students will have an early lunch at 11:30 and then will meet at 12:00 in the gym for instructions and start promptly at 12:15.  Parents should call the office if they can help out.  There will be a booth on that day in the Home Ec. Room and hot dogs for sale at 11:30.  Other snacks for sale will be freezies, candy bags, chips, juice, water, ice cream sandwiches and other regular booth items.  There is also a good selection of drinks and snacks in the vending machine.

Please make sure your child is wearing appropriate clothing for the weather and appropriate footwear for running races.  Other items that your child might need are a hat, sunscreen, bug spray, a blanket and a water bottle.

On Tuesday, June 5th, the grade 4,5 and 6 students will be competing in the Tri-meet hosted by Lashburn.  They will compete against students from Lashburn and Maidstone.

Caution!  Caution!

Due to severe allergies among the students at NCS, the school requires that everyone avoid bringing any items with nut products, eggs that are not baked into an item or animals to the school.   Our students' health depends on your cooperation.  Thank you.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR NEXT YEAR

Supply lists for Back to School Solutions will be sent home soon.  There is no obligation to order your school supplies this way, but it is an option.  The school does get a small percentage of all the orders back.

If you are ordering this way, please send your order back to the school with a cheque attached payable to Value Drug Mart and Associates Ltd. by June 27th.  You can order online and then choose only the items that you need.  Your child may have some supplies left from previous years so you can only order specific items.  The deadline for ordering online is August 7th.   Kits are then shipped to the school in August and arrive with labels that have your child's name on them, to put on all the supplies.

Please keep the list as that is the only supply list you will get for next year.  The lists will also be posted online.

REPORT CARD PICKUP

We are once again asking parents to send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the school if you are unable to pick up your child's report card on the morning of June 29th.  Report cards will not be sent home unless an envelope is provided.   All textbooks and library books should be returned to the school library as soon as possible.  Grade 5-12 students must clean out their lockers and return their locks to the library before leaving for the summer.

2016-2017 Yearbooks are IN!

Yearbooks sell for $25.00.

Thank you to Karrie Blackbeard for all her hard work on this yearbook!
