MISSING BOOKS
The school library is missing some books. Some of them are textbooks that can be worth up to $100 each. Please check around your house and children's rooms for any school books. In particular, we are missing some Science 7 textbooks. Thank you for your help.
DIVISION COUNSELLOR
Trish, our counsellor will be in the school every Monday and is available for any and all students.

Due to severe allergies among the students at NCS, the school requires that everyone avoid bringing any items with nut products, eggs that are not baked into an item or animals to the school. Our students' health depends on your cooperation. Thank you.
SCC NEWS
SCC AGM is on October 22 at 7 pm in the school library. Always looking for new members. Please come and see what the School Community Council is all about!
SCHOOL MESSAGES
Parents PLEASE sign up for SchoolMessenger so that you receive messages from the school. This is the way we communicate important messages. Text to the number 724665 and then reply Yes and you will be set up to receive messages.
STUDENT ABSENCES Parents please notify the school if your child is going to be absent. Parents will receive an automated phone call for any unexcused absences. Call 306-823-4313
STUDENT FEES
You will be notified what student fees are owing if you have signed up for SchoolCash. We encourage parents to pay fees, buy milk cards, yearbooks, etc
through SchoolCash. If you are not signed up, you can get instructions on how to do so by calling the school office.
The Terry Fox Walk/Run
The Terry Fox Walk was a success again this year raising $1603. Congratulations to Sydnie Knoll on winning the draw for the Terry Fox T-Shirt. Thanks to the staff at Neilburg Synergy Credit Union for providing and serving the refreshments after the walk.

Please let Ms. Chammartin know if you are able to drive to any of the above games and how many you can take. (Make sure you have all the necessary driving requirements into the school office).
PRACTICES are every Wednesday and every other Tuesday (players have a schedule).
Please note that the "A" team is also in a tournament on Oct. 5th in Maymont. Please let me know ASAP if your child cannot make that tournament AND if you are able to drive!
Junior "B" Girls still require 1 more driver for their game on Oct. 3rd to Lashburn. Please let Ms. Chammartin know if you are able to drive.
Visual Art 10/20/30 Needs your HELP!!-Mrs. Kerr-Goodfellow
Good Day everyone the Visual Art 10,20, 30 class is creating a large weaving project that will involve students from grade K-12. We need colorful cloth, yarn or ribbon. If you have extra or are purging your home & have these items, please donate them to our class. Bring them to the school or call me, Mrs. Kerr-Goodfellow at the school (306)-823-4313 so we can make some arrangements.
Fine Arts 9 & P.A.A. 9 Need large cardboard boxes- Mrs. Kerr-Goodfellow
Fine Arts & P.A.A 9 are working on a design project that will be up & running just prior to Halloween. If you have large cardboard boxes from appliances, BBQs or that type of item, we would appreciate your cardboard donation. We also need old dolls, 1 liter & 2 liter pop bottles that will not be returned. Please drop these items off at the school or contact me at school. Thanks Mrs. Kerr-Goodfellow.
S.R.C. $12 fee -Mrs. Kerr-Goodfellow
The grade 7-12 students pay a $12 fee to the Student Representative Council that allows us to pay for jerseys, referees, Sports events, Christmas dinner and speaker plus fun activities for the high school students. We would like the payment before September is over. Thank you.
YOUTH GROUP
Join us for a game of "Cops and Robbers" this Friday night, 7-10pm at the Church.

COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Manitou Pioneer Museum is in the process of publishing a community directory (Little Blue Book) with the cell phone numbers and/or box numbers of community members. You can drop off your information at many of the Neilburg and Marsden businesses or you can email your information to littlebluebook@sasktel.net Each entry will have a chance to win a $50 gift card. Books will be available for sale at a later date.
BUSINESS ADVERTISEMENTS – PAID ADVERTISEMENTS If your business would be interested in putting a paid advertisement in the school newsletter, please contact Cathy at the school (306-823-4313). The newsletters go out weekly (usually Wednesday). Any ads would have to be into the school by 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning. The school email is ncs@nwsd.ca, the fax is 306-823-4403 or you can drop them off. The cost is $10 per advertisement per week. *As usual our community announcements will be published free of charge.
