Art Show & Auction – Mrs. Kerr-Goodfellow

On Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020 the Fine Arts students in grade 10, 11 & 12 hosted an Art Show & auction. The first hour of the show had each artist showcasing their collection of works with a musical accompaniment by Carson Peters. Thank you for sharing your talent Carson. Each student presented their works with help from the Marsden Hall tablecloths & Tammy Ryan's Western Willow Events planning items. Thank you for your support. The gym had sparkle & bling plus multiple lights and candles. The auction involved 12 different pieces of furniture. Five chairs, a stool, two coal shovels, a small desk, a magazine rack, a wooden briefcase and a large family sized table. Each furniture item was painted & a few of the images were a Welcome chair, A Harry Potter chair, a Jurassic Park coal shovel & an ombre desk. A huge thank you to Wade Worman, Marie Snell and Daryl Goodfellow for their furniture donations. The auctioneer was Mrs. Kerr-Goodfellow & her Ringman was Sid Wells.  The auctioneer introduced each artist and then auctioned their item. All totalled the auction raised $1000 for the Final Arts initiatives currently going on in the school. After the auction, there was a social with punch & sweets made by the PAA 9 class. Thank you to everyone that came and supported this event.

LITTLE FREE LIBRARY

We have started a "Little Free Library" at the school.  Students may take a book to keep.  If they have one that they want to put in its place, that is great, but not required.

Most of the books are geared towards teenagers, but as we get books donated or are culled from the library, it will be filled with all different kinds of books.  If you have any books at home that would be suitable and you would like to donate them, we would very much appreciate it.

Caution!  Caution!

Due to severe allergies among the students at NCS, the school requires that everyone avoid bringing any items with nut products, eggs that are not baked into an item or animals to the school.   Our students' health depends on your cooperation.  Thank you.
