Welcome to our new school website, updated both in looks and in information.  You will find the site a valuable source of information such as sports schedules, contact information and timetables.  As well all of our weekly newsletters will be posted on the web.  When you look at this new website, you will get a glimpse of a busy, wonderful place that is Neilburg Composite School.

Neilburg Composite School is a Kindergarten to Grade 12 school, with unique characteristics that could only accompany the wide span of ages in the school.  As I walk through the elementary wing I am greeted by “high fives” from the older elementary students and awesome hugs from the younger students.  The classrooms and hallways are buzzing with activity, as students work on everything from the academics to music or art to the Christmas Concert or the Easter assembly.

In the junior high and high school wing, the energy and enthusiasm are obvious from the minute you walk in the door.  The students are offered a wide array of courses, ranging from a dynamic fine arts program to the practical and applied arts to the academic courses required to complete Grade 12.  Therefore, as I walk around I may see students practicing for a drama production, completing welding projects or struggling with that very difficult calculus problem.

Of course, Neilburg School also offers a full complement of extra-curricular activities including many sports, a shop club, art club, Students Against Drunk Driving and an active Students Representative Council.  However, none of these activities would be possible without the true backbone of the school, the staff and the students.  With the help of some of the finest teachers in the division, the students are thriving, happy and productive.  However, the reverse is also true.  Neilburg School students are also some of the best.  Without students who dedicate their time to school, who show initiative, creativity and courage in learning, the school would not thrive as it does.  I have the enviable honor and privilege of working with an absolutely fantastic team of people!

As a final comment, I would also like to thank the Neilburg community for their generous, on-going support of the school.  The value that the community places on the school is obvious, with abundant donations of money, time and energy.  I do not take these contributions for granted!  I wish to express my gratitude to every person in the community who has helped us out in any way.

Yours truly,

Diana Worman
