PROVINCIAL TRACK – Ms. Waldorf - June 18, 2010

Congratulations to Shannon Putnam and David Nass. They represented the school well at track and field provincials on June fourth and fifth. Shannon set a new personal record in the triple jump. David also ran his new personal best in the 3000m, he ran it in ten minutes and 34 seconds.

ELEMENTARY TRI-MEET - June 18, 2010

The weather cooperated last Wednesday for the Tri-meet for grade 4-6 students at J.H. Moore School in Lashburn.

Congratulations to all the students who participated.  No records were broken but

the students who brought home medals were:

Ethan Moir for Age 10 A boys

Riley Matechuk for Age 10 B boys

Jenna McGarry for Age 10 B girls

Kylie Goodfellow & Kailee McGarry  (tie) for Age 11 B girls

Elementary Track - May 19, 2010

Elementary track and field day (Wednesday, May 26^th) is fast approaching and in order to make this day a success we need at least 2 parent volunteers for each class.  We will have an early lunch at 11:30 and then will begin the meet at 12:30. Parents should contact their child’s homeroom teacher or call the office if they can help out.  Volunteers will be asked to meet in the staff room at 12:15 to get their group’s forms and to learn how the day will proceed.

Please make sure your child is wearing appropriate clothing for the weather and appropriate footwear for running races.  Other items that your child might need are a hat, sunscreen, bug spray, a blanket and a water bottle.

HIGH SCHOOL TRACK – Ms. Waldorf and Ms. Johnson - May 26, 2010

The students performed well at track and field in Lashburn. We have 14 students who qualified for the Northwest championships in Meadow Lake on Thursday. For the boys we have Quinton Ryan -Discus and Javelin, Alex Foster- 100, 200m 4x100 relay, Lukas Biensch- triple jump, 1500m, 3000m, Ryley Olchowecki- Javelin, Arlee Walde- Triple Jump, David Nass- Long Jump, 400m, 800m, 3000m, 4x400 relay, Chase Smith- Discus, Nick Williams- Triple Jump. For the girls we have Shayla Koedyk- 200m, 4x100m relay, Marissa Brockhoff- Shot put, Ashlee Goodfellow- Shot put and Javelin, Shannon Putnam - Long and Triple Jump, Avery Moir- Long Jump, Laura Hegel- High Jump. The bus is leaving at 5:30am on the 27th, athletes please make sure that you are on time, and good luck.
