A Message from Vice- Principal, Mr. Wade Worman

February was short and sweet, I hope everyone enjoyed their week off. As we move into March we are getting excited for some warmer weather and new opportunities at NCS.

March will see our Sr. Boys wrap up their basketball season (good luck to them) and both Junior and Senior Badminton teams start up their seasons. Our 5/6s will also be beginning badminton during their lunch hour time in the gym. Student-led conferences will be this month, check the calendar for those dates. Links to sign up for interviews will be coming soon. Our choir meets regularly, and our drama club is starting up as well. It is very exciting to see so many great opportunities for our students to learn and grow. Also, our grade 10-12 students have the chance to go to Jasper this month, something that has been missing for the past few years.

With so much going on and only 6 weeks to Easter, this spring is going to fly by. Have a great March everyone!

Just a reminder that our office hours are from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. All communication with staff should be done through the proper channels (Teams message, email or phone call during office hours). Please refrain from using social media platforms or staff's personal phone text messages. Thank you.

 Wade Worman

Parent Teacher Conferences:

Thursday, March 23 from 3:30pm to 6:10pm and Thursday, March 30 from 3:30pm to 6:20pm. Watch for a link on the school Facebook page and through school messenger to book a time to discuss your students' progress.  We look forward to seeing you!

Celebration Assemblies- This year we have implemented a 9 am, Monday morning assembly each week.  It is time for our students and staff to gather, build community and share information about the upcoming week. The celebrations have been moved closer to the first Monday of the month to better suit our school year calendars. We will continue to recognize students that are showing Grit (perseverance) and/or Grace (tolerance and cooperation) as well as recognize our student athlete of the month and our fine arts student of the month now that we have a choir. Check out our photo wall by the gym. Our next assemblies are March 6th, April 3rd, May 8th and June 5th

SRC at NCS!!

Our current SRC is made up of 21 grade 8-12 students and 3 staff members. The Student Representative Council or SRC is a student lead group that provides a break from student learning to socialize with fellow students and have a little fun. We do this through school wide games, activities, spirit weeks, fundraisers, as well as organizing and operating our lunchtime booth. This group gives our students an opportunity to take on leadership roles and teaches them how to work in groups by sharing interests, ideas and concerns. Find our upcoming events below:

Please check out the School Survey posters around the school.

WE ASKED…YOU SAID…WE PLEDGE!

We are asking parents to drop off their children at the main doors if they arrive late. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our school safe and secure. PARENTS!!! PLEASE STOP and SIGN in
