What is Orange Shirt Day?

Orange Shirt Day is marked in recognition of the harm the residential school system did to children's sense of self-esteem and well being, and as an affirmation of our commitment to ensure that everyone around us matters.​

Why do we wear Orange?

Orange is worn to signify the loss that children experienced at residential schools. It stems from the story of Phyllis Jack Webstad.
