It's time to butt out!
Did you know about 4.5 trillion cigarettes are littered each year, worldwide? These filters are not biodegradable and can take up to 10 years to break down in the environment.
Did you know cigarette filters are made of cellulose acetate, the same plastic fibers used in sunglasses frames?
Did you know 32% of storm drain litter is cigarette butts? These butts then enter our waterways and often get eaten by various animals who mistake them for food.
Now that you know, be part of the solution.
