Principal's Message
Welcome to October in the 2017-2018 school year!  September flew by and was filled with many exciting activities and we are certain, the rest of the year will be similar!

This year has started with a crazy cold/flu strain!  People are getting sick and staying sick for weeks at a time.  It is tough when your child is sick for a prolonged period of time and has to miss school.  We understand your concerns that they may be missing essential class time and getting behind in areas that may be difficult to catch up in.  However, we also recognize the importance of ensuring that your sick child is as recovered as possible before returning to school.

Keeping contagious kids at home helps to minimize the spread of germs within the school.  Please don’t simply medicate them and send them to school if their symptoms will return in a few hours.  Feverish kids are lethargic kids in class and will not be getting their work done anyways.  Also, please ensure the office has updated contact information in case we have to get ahold of you or your emergency contact.

We thank you for your understanding and willingness to support the health and well-being of all staff and students at Marshall School.
