What is Orange Shirt Day?
Orange Shirt Day is marked in recognition of the harm the residential school system did to children's sense of self-esteem and well being, and as an affirmation of our commitment to ensure that everyone around us matters.
Why do we wear Orange?
Orange is worn to signify the loss that children experienced at residential schools. It stems from the story of Phyllis Jack Webstad.
