This means the following for Wednesday:

Possible STF Job Action

Full Day Strike

Possible STF Job Action

Withdrawal of
Noon-hour Supervision

Possible STF Job Action

Withdrawal of Extra-curricular Activities

NWSD's plan:

  • Regular classes, transportation, and extracurricular activities will be cancelled.

  • Please do not send your children to school on these days.

  • All STF members, including speech-language pathologists, psychologists, learning coaches, coordinators, teachers, vice principals, and principals, will withdraw professional and voluntary services for the entire day.

NWSD's plan:
  • All NWSD schools will communicate their specific plans directly with their families and staff.

  • Schools may also encourage students to go home for lunch if they are able to, in order to reduce the level of supervision required.

  • Supervision may be provided by non-teaching staff and/or approved volunteers.

  • Each school may be impacted differently, depending on the availability of supervisors. School plans could range from a normal school day schedule to an adjusted school day schedule with an earlier dismissal.

NWSD's plan:

  • All extra-curricular activities will be cancelled.

  • Extra-curricular activities include sports, drama, music, science clubs, intramurals, rehearsals, student leadership activities, planning for graduation celebrations, and other approved extra-curricular activities run by STF members.
