Shelby Prosser, Lashburn High School
Shelby is an AMAZING young artist who (for the second year in a row)
has had her art selected for the Juried Arts exhibit hosted at the Lloydminster museum.
She has shown such a passion and natural talent for art since she was young and in elementary school. We are so proud of Shelby!
Sydni Keichinger, Hillmond Central School
Sydni, a grade 11 student from Hillmond Central School, is competing at a global level as a member of Team Canada at the World Archery Field Championships in Yankton, South Dakota, which kickoff today!
She has been involved in archery for over 10 years, with 4H and the Lloydminster & Area Archery Club. She had competed in events such as the 2024 Saskatchewan Summer Games, the 2026 Rocky Mountain Classic in BC, and the 2026 Vegas Shoot, the largest indoor archery event in the world!
These are such incredible accomplishments for such a young lady. The Hillmond School and community is so proud of her and excited to cheer her on at Worlds!!

Sloane Reid, Jonas Samson Middle School
Meet Sloane Reid, a Grade 6 student at Jonas Samson Middle School in Meadow Lake.
This summer, Sloane took on an impressive challenge, swimming 2 kilometres across Greig Lake. Along the way, she raised an incredible $300, which she generously donated to the Meadow Lake and District Humane Society.
Her donation will help provide food, veterinary care, medications, supplies and all the little things that help keep shelter animals safe, healthy and loved.
Sloane’s accomplishment is a wonderful example of compassion, courage and community spirit—and of the positive difference our students can make when they put their minds (and hearts!) to something.
Way to go, Sloane! We’re proud to have students like you leading by example.
