The staff vote selected Option 3 as the preferred calendar for 2025-2026, and at the February meeting the board approved the calendar.

SUM 2025 Conference

April 7 & 8, 2025 - Saskatoon

The Saskatchewan Understands Math (SUM) conference is for mathematics educators teaching in Grades K-12 and all levels of educational leadership interested in mathematics curriculum, instruction, number sense, problem-solving, culturally responsive teaching, and technology integration, and will bring together international and local facilitators to work in meaningful ways with participants in a variety of formats.

2026 Sask Winter Games - Medal Design Contest

Make your mark on the 2026 Saskatchewan Winter Games!

Community members (including students!) from Flying Dust First Nation and the City of Meadow Lake are invited to help design the medals that more than 1,500 athletes will strive to earn at the 2026 Saskatchewan Winter Games next February!

  • Contest dates: February 10 - March 31, 2025
  • Submission criteria: We are looking for a design that best encompasses the partnership between Flying Dust First Nation and the City of Meadow Lake. The 'Running S' symbol, as shown in the medal design template, must be incorporated in the design.
  • Who can enter? Any Flying Dust First Nation or City of Meadow Lake community member.
  • The winner will receive: Special recognition at the Games Opening Ceremonies; a commemorative medal set; and a Games Prize Pack
