The March Live Well Challenge is all about Sleep!
Use the Sleep Diary in your Live Well journal to track your sleep habits this week.
Snap a picture or scan your Sleep Diary and submit to kaitlin.harman@nwsd.ca by March 21.
Prize: Sleep Basket full of self care items.
NWSD Gala - Tickets on Sale
Gala tickets can now be purchased for the event on April 11.
Tickets can be ordered through:
- School Based Administrative Assistants at all schools.
- School Cash online - contact Alicia Norbeck for help (school based staff only)
- If using cash online to order for more than yourself, please include those names on the order sheet with the Admin Assistant.
- Turtleford, South and Meadow Lake Division offices.
Ticket Raffle
All staff are entered into a raffle for FREE Gala Tickets, with three winners being drawn - one from the North, Central and South area of the school division. Each winner will get TWO tickets.

National Canadian Film Day
Saskatchewan Media Production Industry Association (SMPIA) and Creative Saskatchewan are excited to promote a special educational event in celebration of National Canadian Film Day on April 16, 2025.
Organized by REEL Canada, the RCtv: Indigenous Realities program brings the inspiring film The Grizzlies to classrooms across the country, along with a live discussion featuring Anna Lambe, the film’s star. This is an incredible opportunity for students in grade 9-12 to celebrate Canadian cinema, engage with important themes of hope, resilience, Reconciliation, and contemporary Inuit life, and participate in a nationwide conversation.
How Your Students Can Participate:
Watch The Grizzlies in class or at home (April 1–16):
This powerful film, based on a true story, follows a group of Inuit youth who find pride and purpose through lacrosse while navigating the ongoing effects of colonization. Please note that the film addresses sensitive topics including suicide, violence, and intergenerational trauma.
Join the Live, Virtual Discussion with Anna Lambe (April 16 at 10:00am):
Students will have the opportunity to hear directly from Anna Lambe, an acclaimed actress and activist known for The Grizzlies, North of North, Three Pines, and more. Students are invited to ask questions and share comments.
