The Northwest School Division's Board of Education held its inaugural meeting Wednesday, November 27, marking the start of a new term and setting the stage for continued growth and collaboration within the division.
During the meeting, Barb Seymour, representing the City of Meadow Lake, was elected as the new Chair for the Board of Education. With extensive experience and a passion for fostering strong educational outcomes, Seymour brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the role.
Patricia Main, from Flying Dust First Nation, was elected as Vice Chair. Main's dedication to inclusive and culturally responsive education will be instrumental in supporting the Board’s mission to serve all students across the division.
